It is an opportunity to step back in time to the mid-late 1800’s Old West; there you will experience beautiful adobe architecture, an old church, quaint shops, wine tasting and delicious cuisines from a host of charming restaurants. We also pride ourselves on being an exciting college town, the esteemed institution of New Mexico State University, has a 900 acre campus on the southern edge of town. Students from all 50 states and many countries from around the world, call NMSU home. Las Cruces and the entire Southern New Mexico Region has a very exciting future to look forward to, as we are on the cutting-edge of space technology. Spaceport America is being built 40 miles ‘up the road’ and will be hosting the X PRIZE CUP, an annual event that will draw thousands of people from around the world. In addition, our soon-to-be future will also include an area called Rocket City, to be built on the West Mesa side of Las Cruces; it will include a major draw with the ‘Rocket Racing League’, known as the “NASCAR of the skies”, setting up its operation there. Along with this exciting push into the future, we are currently anchored by the facilities of NASA and the White Sands Missile Range, along with other major industries.
